Shiur Acher, founded in 2002, promotes civic involvement and social responsibility by enlisting volunteers to teach courses in their area of specialization in Israeil schools. The organization aims to create a bridge between the professional community and the educational needs in Israel’s disadvantaged neighborhoods by offering children unmediated access to positive adult role models who work in fields that the children rarely encounter in their daily lives.
